The Black Monster
In the vast expanse of the universe, black holes slumber as cosmic sentinels in the depths of space. However, sometimes one of these cosmic sentinels wakes up due to the proximity of an unfortunate star. When the passing star
gets too close, the black hole awakens from its slumber and becomes a voracious spectator of this cosmic spectacle.
Powerful tidal forces tear the star apart; in other words, the star gets swallowed by darkness. After its midnight snack,
this gigantic black monster goes back to sleep.
The flipbook provides a visual narrative of the stages involved in the tidal disruption of a star by the black hole J2150.
